What this does not say

Quoted verbatim from the section’s warnings field, exactly as the API returns it. They are not translated: a translation would show something other than what your response actually contains.

Registration is not an inspection. A row says DSB lists the business as authorised to do electrical work on someone else's property, with the work it may do (tasks) and the installations it covers (facility_types). It does not say anyone inspected, approved or certified an installation at this address, that the business worked here, or that its work is compliant. Status and scope change: check them with DSB (elvirksomhetsregisteret.dsb.no) before relying on a business.
A directory by where businesses are registered, not a distance ranking and not a recommendation: DSB's register carries no coordinates. same_postal_code true means the business's visit address has the address's postal code; false means another postal code in the same kommune. Up to 50 are listed, the postal-code tier first, then by name. Businesses work outside their own postal code and kommune, so a short list or an empty one does not mean nobody serves the area.
Only active (status Aktiv) businesses that are legal persons in Enhetsregisteret are listed. Sole traders (enkeltpersonforetak) are left out because their name is their owner's, and so are entries DSB lists without a parent organisasjonsnummer or that Enhetsregisteret does not match. The responsible person, telephone, fax and e-mail in DSB's register are never served. electricians_count_range is DSB's band (for example 1-5), not a count.
Licence: DSB publishes the register on a public site without a stated licence; the copy is DSB's public export, replaced whole monthly (a successful collection replaces it, a failed one retains the old). Treat it as public register data and confirm DSB's terms before redistributing the list in bulk. Attribution: Direktoratet for samfunnssikkerhet og beredskap (DSB).
